Kanani Souza, the founder of Mauka Moon, brings a wealth of expertise in law, public service, and the New Space Economy. With an LL.M. in Air and Space Law from the University of Mississippi and an LL.M. in Environmental Law and Natural Resources Law from Lewis and Clark College, Kanani’s legal foundation is as broad as it is deep. She also holds a J.D. from the University of Hawai‘i William S. Richardson School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Southern California. As a dedicated representative, Kanani has spent years advocating for sustainable policies and practices that align with her values of environmental stewardship and cultural respect. Drawing from her diverse academic and professional experience, she founded Mauka Moon to help shape space brands that elevate innovation, promote sustainability, and honor the cultural values that define Hawai‘i. Kanani’s vision is to create lasting change by forging meaningful connections between space exploration and the planet we call home.
